This was day 3 of nonstop amusement park. OMG! 5 hours of sleep? Blisters! Introvert looking for a cave. Yup.
Watched the "opening show". This is something unique to Disneyworld. Disneyland does not have it - probably because people are already in the park up to the end of Main Street before the park officially opens.
Met up with W's friend, Betsy. She's as much a Disney-fiend as he is. =)
We walked up to the new Fantasyland. Wow! First ride of the day was Enchanted Tales with Belle. It was really cute. I loved the "magic" transition from Maurice's cottage to The Beast's castle. Magic mirror!
Rode Peter Pan's Flight and Winnie The Pooh.
Lunch at the brand new Be Our Guest restaurant. We ended up in the West Wing - tattered draperies and the Rose. I had the Tuna Nicoise and French Onion Soup. Yum.
Met up with Jules after lunch. We walked back and forth between Tomorrowland and Orleans Square. Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Carribbean, Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, People Mover, Stitch's Great Escape (fun!) and Space Mountain.
Ugh. Ding, ding, ding, ding! Ovewhelmed! Warning, warning! Debbie needs a time out!!!!
My blisters had blisters, there were about a gazillion people and I needed a break. Jules needed to head home, so I walked out with her and told J, W & B that I'd meet them at the restaurant for dinner in 90 minutes.
I wandered down Main Street, looked in the shops and plopped myself at the curb to watch the 7pm parade. Had no idea which parade I was going to watch, I was just happy to sit. Then I heard the announcement - The Main Street Electrical Parade would be starting in 15 minutes! SQUIEEE!!!!!!!! I love this parade! The twriling snails always make me smile. I'm eight again.
Watched and hummed along and squee'd! Okay, I would have preferred the Blue Fairy instead of Tinker Bell, but everything else was the same. Elliot the Dragon! Snails! Peter Pan! Okay, I'll calm down.
Had an 8pm reservation at Tony's. We didn't get seated until 45 minutes later? My canneloni was great. J, W & B's spaghetti was sort of sad. The noodles were not long enough to twirl, let alone slurp like Lady & The Tramp.
Did a bit of shopping, then we walked over to the Contemporary Resort and took the Monorail from there back to the parking lot (in order to beat the crowds).
Bed by midnight.
