They aren't bad when roasted with a bit of garlic, olive oil, sea salt and pepper. This week, I've been munching on roasted Brussel sprouts, cauliflower and beets.
Forgot to put the broccoli in the fridge, so I had to toss it this morning. *drat*
Last Monday, I stopped by K's to pick up some Girl Scout cookies (anybody need any? Alani's selling them again). Sat down with the da family while they were eating dinner. Alani was not happy - she likes string beans as much as I do. (Kyle & K eat them as snacks - weird they are)
Anyway, K comes up with the bright idea - "hey Alani, strings beans are good for you. So they're good for Auntie Debbie too". Yes, I love my sister. (repeat again and again until feelings of hitting K over the head with a fry pan disappear) I was presented with plate of 8 string beans. Oh YUmmmm.... There was much giggling. I ate them and so did Alani. *sigh*
