Then I picked up
Walked up to Park Street for dinner - ended up at Hobnob. The fig and goat cheese salad is very tasty!
Sunday, Kev, the kidlets and I went out to East Ocean Seafood for dim sum. Yum!
Picked up
Since we were in the neighbornood, we just had to have dinner at Zachary's. More yum!
Went to see Glee in 3D at EmeryBay. At least I got popcorn =)
Monday, we had breakfast at Jim's. Then onto Napa for wine!
Our main stop was for a tour & tasting at Castello di Amoroso. Castle - very cool! Dungeon & torture chamber even. It's owned by Dario Sattui of V. Sattui Winery. I really liked both the rose wines - Gioia (Rosato di Sangiovese) and Fantasia (liked the Fantasia the best), the gewurztraminer - Dolcino, and the pinot nero (aka pinot noir - from the Santa Lucia Highlands). Yum.
Prager was next. This is the first time in eons where we were the only ones there. Usually, it's packed to the gills. Nice to be able to chat and take our time while tasting.
On to Sattui's for a bit of tasting and a picnic lunch. Their deli is very dangerous. OOOh the Moscato was very tasty this trip. Madeira was as lovely as ever. Lunch consisted of two types of salami, manchego, shropshire, a coffee gouda (weird), one other cheese that I can't remember, marinated mushrooms, gnocchi, edamame salad and lots of sourdough bread! T'was a gorgeous, relaxing day.
We got to Raymond's just before closing, but they were kind enough to accommodate us. Yum!
