Today has been busy. Got up at 6:30am, out the door by 6:45 and drove to Alameda. Stopped first at Curves for a quick workout and then worked from home until 1:30.
Today was the first of four diabetes classes. I had a much shorter class about 10 years ago, but I needed a refresher and lots of things have improved and changed over the past 11 years.
Lots of newbies in the class - didn't stay for how to use a glucometer portion. One person had only been diagnosed with diabetes last week. Another found out she had it after having emergency surgery right before Easter.
Drove over to SF next - decided to splurge and pay the $10 for parking across the street from Borderland Books. I was tired and just not in the mood to go circling around forever trying to find a parking space that would be good past 9pm (needed one for at least 4 hours). Most street parking in the area was only good for two hours. Left
* 10:47pm text from Teen - next bus will leave in 17 minutes. Should be home 11:30ish. *g*
Had dinner at Cha-ya - a vegetarian Japanese restaurant. Had tempura zaru soba. Yum... Even ate the string beans. Heard somebody else ordering shirai - missed it - probably because it was spelled shirae ae which is not the way I spell it *g* Next time.
Back to Borderlands - listened to Catherynne M. Valente read bits from her newest: Palimpsest while SJ Tucker aka "Sooj" accompanied her with songs she'd written about the Palimpsest universe. Very cool =)
Took the scenic tour back to the house.
