Work's been busy. Two projects due asap and the normal insanity of the beginning of the year...

Had dinner at Havana's on Friday - plantains! I was stuck between trying something new - Garlic Studded Pork Tenderloin with Mojo Sauce, Boniato Mash and Black Beans or the usual paella. I asked the waitress and she said "pork", so I tried it. It was okay - I didn't really like the sweet sauce on top - I finally figured out that I wanted a spicy sauce instead. Much giggling during dinner - see Foxy's post. The apple mojito was lovely *g*.
Cooked a kabocha for the first time - it's only been sitting on the counter since October I think. No mold or soft spots, so I guess it was okay. *g* Just baked it like I normally cook hard skinned squash. Took a third of it, mashed it up with margarine and salt and pepper. Yum! I think I'm going to make an okazu (stir fry) of it, other veggies and maybe some hamburger. For whatever reason, the combination sounds good. Would have done that tonight except I'm out of hamburger and I only have chicken.
