Operation Stalker III

Sunday, was a very lazy day. Didn't do any con things at all. Just got up, got ready, and packed up the car. Joey went off with carolf and her hubby and the rest of us went off to Zingerman's Deli!

Ah the joys of finding a parking space in a crowded college town on a Sunday morning. Ugh. We lucked out and caught one just as somebody was leaving. Diney and John were doing that drive round and round for 30 minutes thing. At least they didn't have to wait in line (line went out the door, down the street and around the corner) We just waited until they arrived and said 'Rick, we're all here!" and then he moved us to the front of the order line. *g*

A knish, a kugel, carrot spread, chopped liver, a reuben, a Jon and Amy (pastrami and corned beef!) and more...

On the way back to the car, we stopped at an artisan's craft fair. Kev and Tammy were busy looking at the jewelry. Me? I picked up a red velvet cape, with a matching hat and white fur muff - American Girl doll sized and very pretty and much less expensive than the stuff online. Alani will be happy =)

Next, the The Bakehouse and the Creamery.

Cheese!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stichelton (Neal’s Yard Dairy’s very own raw-milk Stilton.) Gorrotxa. Cottins. Detroit Street Brick. Yum.

Gelato! With skyscraper shaped cones!

Bread... One loaf of the chocolate cherry and one of the green chile cheese went home with me. More yum!

Then it was farewell to Diney and John *sniff* Maybe at the next EastCoastBowerCon?

Kev drove all the way back to Indiana. Tammy was copilot. I slept in the back *g*

Here I was getting an image of you in a red velvet cape etc. for the Dicken's Christmas Fair...

Was terribly disappointed when I figured it out...

Once the sewing center is set up, I have patterns for Samantha clothes...which doll does she have? I had a good result making the nightgown for Val's...

I also have a pattern for a little-girl version of Sam's school dress. I made matching dresses for Val and her best friend way back then, and they LOVEd them! What size does the moppet wear these days?

Alani will get the Samantha doll on Saturday. =)

The moppet is wearing between a 6-6x.

Maybe we can do some trading?

My question to you is: after all the hype and blah blah blah about Zingerman's, did it live up to it? I'd totally understand if you felt it was overrated, but I still love it, especially now with the bakery and creamery.

I'm amused you ended up getting the two breads I'd bought, too. They were so yum. And I brought back a crottin.
