duplicate charge

Oh joy...
I was checking my bank account and found that I had been charged for a purchase twice on my debit card. Guess I need to go talk to a real person at the bank. It was a $100 charge too.

With my credit card, I just have to click on the item to dispute it. Maybe because it's a debit card I can't?

Maybe because it's a bank. Unfortunately, banks are not notable for their customer service these days.

Or maybe it's that the credit card companies can't require you to appear in person to dispute the charge, because there are no branch offices and they don't have the staff to deal with it.
