Today started out with a big snuggle from Alani. =) Picked up K and we went to the Farmers' Market. Bought veggies for the week. People with the asian veggies were back! Yay! Ate delicious pork tamales with salsa verde while enjoying the sunshine and people watching. Listened to some guy sing the blues.

K & I had a good laugh - we both had gone online last night to check out how close The Pursuit of Happyness was to Christopher Gardner's RL. Read the bio, the movie info etc...

Spent an hour or so in Bed, Bath and Beyond - picked up some place mats (had been using a hand towel - have no idea where the rest of my place mats are packed), two table cloths and few more drawer organizers.

Costco was a zoo as usual. Did get my passport pictures taken. DP was on sale with a $2 off coupon. Picked up some grape tomatoes, blueberries, dried shiitake and boneless skinless chicken thighs. Oh, and turbotax.

Put together the bench/shoe rack. Now what do I do with the old shoe rack? Redid the cutlery/utensil drawers.

Started homework. It's due on Friday. The problem with having a class which never meets is that I never get around to doing the assignments because I don't have a specific time set aside for it. I usually do most of my assignments during class.

Your Birthdate: September 3

You are more than a big ball of energy - you are a big ball of hyper.
You are always on the go, but you don't have a type A personality.
Instead of channeling your energy into work, you instead go for fun and adventure.
Witty and verbal, you can have an interesting conversation with anyone.

Your strength: Your larger than life imagination

Your weakness: You tend to be pretty scattered

Your power color: Lime

Your power symbol: Lightening bolt

Your power month: March

Boy, did they get that wrong. =)

So how much of the movie is true? It's on my list of things I'd like to do if I weren't packing.

I finished my degree (everything after the AA) in online classes and I LOVED them, but it is true it requires discipline. Lucky for me, podette always wanted the computer and I had someone nagging me to finish and get off, or hurry up and get on and get it over with! Doing the homework during class is cheating! Of course, with me it wasn't an option since we HAD to submit ours ahead (art pieces, usually) for the critique. Very hard for the teacher to upload them during the session, though that did happen once or twice.

I love Elearning! I'm going to get my masters in it.

I think a lot of the description DOES fit you - not type A, but energetic, able to talk to EVERYONE in a witty, intelligent way, your posts indicate how much importance you give to being with friends and eating good food and being with family, and very little about work, and the scattered part? See placemats above. I LIKE the thunderbolt - I shall ask podette to make you a picture-thingie (suddenly drawing a blank on the right name for them) for your page with a cool one. But again, I say, LIME???? EGGPLANT???? where are they getting these colors?????
