Today

Went to cult gym. Go Me!

Another day of sisterly love - the three of us went to Ole's for breakfast. Well at least we tried to - it was closed for repairs. The waffle maker had malfunctioned and they had waffles flying through the air and landing on unsuspecting customers - sort of like the parasites from ST:TOS - Operation Annihiliate! The screams and shrieks of customers could be heard all the way down Park Street - they weren't able to pry the waffles off! One of the waitresses managed to save the day by tossing the "real maple syrup" on the critters which made the waffles goosh up and fall off. They estimate that it will take at least 72 hours to steam clean the restaurant.

So, we ended up at Jim's Cafe instead.

K & I went to Ikea for the rest of the afternoon. I bought a bench/shoe holder for the door. I'm tired of hopping around on one foot while trying to get my shoes on. K looked at castle moat/portico/gate to replace her bedroom door. She is desperate to sleep in on Sundays and the kids have managed to get through the steel bars on the current door. She didn't find anything.

Ended up giving Alani a bath - she'd been at the playground and hadn't believed that the puddle to the right of the slide was deep. She splashed big time - it came up to her middle and she decided never to go there again. Dr. Foster, anybody?

K & I went out to Fresh Choice for dinner and then went and saw The Pursuit of Happyness. Enjoyed it very much. Really enjoyed how well the new virtual ushers worked. Lady was talking on her cell phone during the movie and VU appears and *ZAP*. Lady & cell phone are gone. Kids in the back are being noisy - VU appears and *ZAP* - they're gone. Cool!!!
