Fairy's Fabulous Fiftieth Fiesta - Part V

Tuesday morning. O dark hundred. Reesa had a 6am flight out of Oakland. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. Considering that we had been chatting until well past 1am... ugh. Team No Sleep - Bower Edition

Tammy & Alex very briefly woke up to say good bye. Punted Reesa at the airport (just where are the people???) and then went to work. I think the only time I've been IN the office at 5:45am is when I've pulled an all nighter.

So it was Lee's actual birthday. What did she do? Go to work. I went to work. Foxy went to work. Joey went to work. What did Tammy & Alex do? They went to Zachary's. Da bums!!!!

After work, Lee, Tammy, Alex, Joey & I went to India Palace for Lee's official birthday dinner (number 4?). Followed it up by more carrot cake at my place and then Joey played and sang for us until midnight. Nobody came knocking at the door but I have yet to check my mailbox. Lee got her favorite Puff the Magic Dragon. I got my favorites "Lullaby for a Weary World" and "Cranes Over Hiroshima". It is always hard to explain the background of the song through tears. After much searching for that "wine" song, Tammy got to hear "Today". "Leaving on a Jet Plane" seemed a bit more poignant that night.

Talked again until late. Thank goodness Wednesday was a telecommute day.

Wednesday, I worked from home while Tammy packed her bags. Alex slept. Tammy was out the door (waaaaaaaaaahhhh!!!) by 8:30 or so. Around lunchtime, I dropped Alex off at Lee's (where they'd be up to no good as usual) and then did the gym thing.

Dinner number 5 was held at Speisekammer. Joey and I both got the brautwurst with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut. Lee & Alex got the weinerschnitzel. Oooh potato pancakes! I got their version of an apple martini and it was good! Tried Joey's dark ale. Yup. Still do not like beer.

More yakking back at my place. Until late. Sleep. I did not need any sleep. Really.

Thursday, I dropped Alex off at the airport on the way to work. Thus ends the Fairy's Fabulous Fifieth Fiesta aka BowerCon 2007.
