Thanksgiving Prep

Things to do tonight:
  • slice salami

  • slice extra sharp cheddar

  • make onion dip

Things to do tomorrow:
  • Pick up sourdough baugettes

  • Pick up 7 cups (2 quarts) of whipping cream

  • Pick up 1 - 2 cans of the ready made whipped cream

  • mushrooms

  • Pick up char siu pork & curing salt

  • Go to gym

  • Chinatown: duck, chicken, chow mein & dim sum

  • Pick up swedish rolls

  • Go to chapel?

  • Help with set up at K's

  • Make 5 pans of finger jello (red, green, orange, yellow & blue)

  • Clean & cut up cucumbers

  • clean radishes

  • clean & cut cup carrots

  • clean & cut cup celery

  • Prepare lettuce & tomatoes for mexican dip

Things to do on Thursday:
  • Prepare yams

  • Make spanokopitas

  • Put together mexican dip

  • Buy flowers for the table & the obutsudan

  • Haul everything to K's by 11am

I would have started the finger jello tonight but I haven't found any whipping cream. I'll need to go first thing in the morning.

Tonight I realized why Safeway was so crowded and so out of stock of things so early. This is the first year that there is only one grocery store at the shopping center. As long as I can remember, there has always been Safeway and Albertson's (well, Lucky's) at South Shore.
