Hey, what are your plans about LA for WorldCon? I'm still trying to decide if I'm going. I remember you said something about Disney beforehand? I assume yall already have hotel arrangements?
The Worldcon hotel is already booked solid? The con site doesn't mention that... Hmm. Since I'd be getting a room alone, I have to decide if I'd rather go for the Marriott, since it's $10/day cheaper.
To be honest while I'll enjoy the con, the reason I'd be going is cause I miss you guys. Been too long since I've seen yall for an extended visit. :) Who's going, btw? You, Sean, and Kev?
Assuming I decide to go (and I'm thinking it's likely, since I have that nice 2 week block of vacation I have to use), I'd fly directly to LA I think. I've got a nice free flight on JetBlue I can use... I don't know LA that well...is it feasible to fly into the Long Beach airport, then cab to Anaheim? I seem to remember Rainy saying that LA to Long Beach isn't too bad (though not as good as LAX).
What I meant is that my room is full - there are already 4 of us in there - me, Sean, Kev & Alex. As far as I know there are still lots of rooms at the Hilton.
You could also check with Reesa & Michelle about a room. Tammy & Dan are supposed to be going. Joey too. Team No Sleep too.
When were you planning on flying in?
Closest airport is Orange County (John Wayne), but I don't think JET Blue flies there. Shuttle might be better.
Hmmm. See, that's the thing. For the LA area, JetBlue only does Long Beach and Burbank airports. And I kinda want to use JetBlue cause you know, free ticket. *g*
Interesting. According to Google Maps, Long Beach airport is a fair bit closer to Anaheim than LAX is actually. It's about the same distance as my apartment to JFK. :)

Eeyore is leaving for Anaheim on Sunday, August 20th - departure is sometime after brunch (BACON!).
Check into cheaper hotel and then do Disneyland on Monday & Tuesday.
Wednesday, check out of hotel and move to Anaheim Hilton for the duration of the Con. Departure for Alameda is scheduled for Monday, August 28th.
World Con hotel is already booked and filled. So you'd need to get a room.
Disney trip hotel has NOT been booked yet and I would need to know asap if you're joining us.
