Watch out world, the Matsuura sisters are out in force! Gayle & Alani were waiting outside the school for us - Karen came straight from work and I managed to get there a minute later. Steve got there a few minutes later - poor guy - he'd gotten a few hours of sleep and was planning on going back to bed right after the ceremony. (graveyard shift until July 1st).
Another short ceremony - Ms. Trees said that 178 days had passed since the first day of school, since the first day she had met all the kids. Like the Hungry Little Caterpillar, the kids had hungrily learned - letters, numbers, how to read, some addition and subtraction. The kids displayed their little caterpillars and then showed pictures of the beautiful butterflies that they had become. Ah =)
The kids sang and signed What a Beautiful World as sung by IZ. Wow! Loved it. I wonder if I can get a copy of somebody's tape.

A Mischievous Alani...
Just finished a book with one of those cliff hanger endings. Grrrrrrrr...
The book ends with couple going off into the forest for some nookie while on the road to the capital, where the leading lady was to be tried for murder. After reading 429 pages, the book could have ended with the trial.
So the next book will start with her trial. I think this is a trilogy. Oh well.
