As I had no water as of Friday night, I stayed at Karen's. We ended up getting take out - chinese food this time and watching TV. I saw bits of Joan of Arcadia (hadn't ever seen), JAG (one of Karen & Gayle's favorite shows, so I've seen it often) and CSI: NY (very fascinating, but eeewwww ick!!!!) We also got some planning done for Thanksgiving.
Saturday morning, I stopped at home around 9:30am and heard the water running. I thought I had turned off all the taps. Missed one. Got WATER!!! No message from landlord. Stupid and inconsiderate. Nothing new.
Met herefox at the Harvest Faire. Had used some of my Radio Alice frequent listener points to get free tickets! Did some Christmas shopping, but I bought a few things for me - owl hair barrette from Oberon and several pictures from Vivid Images Photography - very surreal prints - sort of half Neil Gaiman/half Buffy. Foxy had seem them at the Mountain View Street Faire and had loved their stuff. He picked up 2 prints for himself. Got to chat with Nancy Chien-Eriksen - she didn't have the print I wanted with her, but says if I email her, I can order it.
Went back to Foxy's and played Karaoke Revolution 3 until about 9pm. Got very grumpy when I was doing badly on harmony part - unless I know the part well, I need to hear the vocalist. Poor Fox. Perhaps part of the reason I was grumpy was a sugar low. Ate dinner and felt much better. Wanted chocolate too, so it could be that time of the month. pezazul, beware!!!
Today, trektone and I going to Rosenblum's quarterly open house. He was talking serious wine the other day - wanting to buy a case of futures - the cabernet sauvignon and something else... I think I'll stick with the cheap, but tasty, Kangaroo cabernet.
