Damn you, Captain Kangaroo *grin*

Every once in a while on Captain Kangaroo, there was a musical skit. One was a Japanese folk song - Sho Sho Shojoji (title?) that had little cartoon characters bowing at each other. Another skit had to do with a kid named Little Willie and how he wanted to be a member of the band. (I have really vague memories of it being Mr. Greenjeans dressed up in a sailor suit uniform)

Any way, Little Willie tried various instruments and found them not to his liking. Again vague memories - the trumpet was too hard to play? Little Willie eventually found out that his forte was to be the band leader.

Why am I bringing this up?

Because I have the dratted song stuck in my head...

Little Willie, Little Willie, he's the leader of the band...

Can't remember the rest of the song, just have that one line and the tune of the next line stuck in my head on endless repeat.

That's so weird. When my sister was in 1st grade, she had to learn Sho Sho Shojoji for their part of the May Day exhibition. I was just thinking of it the other day.

And now, the lyrics will be stuck in my head forever. Aaaaaahhhh! You are an evil music-loop spreader!

Little Willie
I have this song stuck in my head too. My hubby sings it to me only puts my name instead of Little Willy. Did you ever find out the rest of the song? If so, please post it. Thanks.
