3am on Thursday...

Note to self: Next time, leave the book in the car UNTIL the weekend! Though, the new Kathy Reich's book was worth it.

8:30am - note to self: Go ahead and get the apple fritter. At Starbucks, their blueberry scone is 460 calories, 190 from fat, and 61 grams of carbs. The apple fritter? 420 calories, 180 from fat, and 59 grams of carbs. All this time, I've been getting the blueberry scone...

The apple fritter is better for you? I shudder to think what they're doing to their scones to make them worse than a deep fried glop of dough with sugar glaze slathered all over it!

They should have some other things that are better for you than both the scone and the fritter. Ours have some new whole grain things that I would think would be a little better at least.

They do - it's just that I thought I'd been making a good choice in getting a scone...
