I've been approved for one of the apartments so far - the one that is in a complex - but has a pool, washer/dryer room and parking.

It's been totally renovated - new carpet, new bathroom, granite counter in the wee kitchen...

But it's in a complex.

It's a block from the beach...

Totally thinking about hiring movers...

I highly recommend movers, too! We were actually surprised at the price; it was a lot less than we expected. So surprised, Dan gave them a really big tip. Packing and unpacking is enough work. Save yourself the aches--and the oopses. And yes, with that staircase, I recommend it even more!

For our last move we were lucky to have 2 of our 16-year-old friends helping with the actual move. it was still back breaking work for them and us.

We swore next time we use movers.

Nothing particularly wrong with a complex, we've had good luck in ours most of the time except for the occasional loud neighbor and elephant upstairs. And most of the time I don't notice thoughs. Complexes often have better service in repair as well as they have enough to hire at least a part time repairman to come in when you need something.

Hiring movers is definitely the route to go. Craig and I did for our last move and I am never ever going to move myself again. The expense, which wasn't really so bad, far outweighed the wear and tear on our bodies and emotions. You deserve to have an easy of a move as possible so treat yourself.

I totally agree---movers rock, esp if you can find a reliable one for a decent price. I will never move myself again after having movers.
